The Acoustix - Consisting of Mark Stevenson (guitar, harmonica, mandolin, harmony vocals), Terri Mills (guitar and vocals) and Kelly Wilson (bass) the Acoustix are San Angelo favorites playing regularly at many fundraisers including the Cultural Affairs Council's San Angelo Wine and Food Festival. David Alexander - David has taken on the role of local elder for the songwriting community and can be found most of the time surrounded by his "chicken pickers" out at the Chicken Farm Art Center on 1st Saturdays. David makes routine trips to Nashville scouting publishing opportunities and has an extensive library of original tunes. He organizes most of the musical events out at the Chicken Farm and recently started a "Local Songwriters in the Round" series at Silo House Restaurant based on the song-swapping format utilized by Nashville's famous "Bluebird Cafe."
Jesse Ramirez - Jesse is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a degree in guitar performance. He primarily plays in the classical genre and is willing to play for weddings, private functions, restaurants, etc. He is also well versed in all other styles of acoustic and electric playing. The Ice House Brass Band - The Ice House Brass Band of San Angelo, Texas, is comprised of regular people from the local area. Daniel Makins - Raised in San Angelo, Daniel then spent a decade away in Nashville and Austin as a full-time, professional musician. He has released 5 records, performs entirely original music, and produces the growing "San Angelo Concert Series" bringing nationally known songwriters to town. His music is a meld of many influences as he is a classically trained pianist and working drummer as well as a known fingerstyle guitarist. A blending of Lyle Lovett and James Taylor seems an acurate description for casual listeners. San Angelo Community Band - Currently conducted by David Scott, the community band first recieved non-profit status in 1988. The San Angelo Community Band offers a creative outlet for amateur musicians of all ages. There are no "try outs" or auditions. Each member performs at a level that is comfortable for him or her. As an all volunteer, non-profit organization, our goal is to provide an opportunity for our members to continue to use the skills that they worked hard to develop, and to provide the community with a series of open-air concerts. Ed Stabler - Ed is a a singer, songwriter and fingerstyle guitar picker who got his start in the 1960's. West Texas Jazz Orchestra - Spear-headed by jazz drummer and Irion County High School Director, Jim Bode, this large band (up to 18 members) presents swing and jazz classics to rave reviews. The orchestra is composed of a mixture of music teachers and other professional musicians, including ASU’s Dr. Ed Surface and Tim Bonenfant.

Roger Allen - There are few in San Angelo who do not know the founder of the famous Chicken Farm Art Center personally! He is also quite well-known across the country as a worker of clay. T.M. Gand - T.M. of Abilene, TX has a gallery in the historic downtown district there. Her work focuses on painting in highly textured layers. Originally a student in engineering in the early 90's, a chance art class and an enthusiastic professor changed her focus and the rest is history. Crystal Goodman - Crystal Goodman is primarily known as a mural painter and active agent in San Angelo's Downtown facade improvement and restoration process. Max Hulse - Our friend and previous owner of Concho Gallery left us in a tragic plane accident, but his spirit lives on. Max Hulse began painting in 1985 and became well known for his work in oil (primarily in landscapes). His collections include corporate, museums, banks, and private individuals. He was a member of Oil Painters of America and co-founded the Texas Art Gallery in Dallas in the 1960's. Max was also seen regularly playing harmonica with local musicians. We miss you Max!

Marsha Yoes - Marsha has recently built her own painting studio at 3714 Honeysuckle here in San Angelo [Call 944-8006 for an appointment]. Marsha teaches oils part time at ASU and has also taught in our local schools. Her work in Southwestern Oils has been shown all over West Texas including San Angelo National Bank and was cited by Governor John Connally during a special exhibit in Austin.
